I am struck with visions, visions of other times and places, other people and lives. I persue my artwork in order to make these visions tangible, to give them form outside of my mind. Each piece is intensely personal, flowing from my psyche... the inner workings of my mind laid bare. I start with a clear picture of what I want to achieve with my work, forms and shapes, a certain glint in the eye, or the curve of the mouth, whatever my imagination has thrown up for me, I want to represent it as accurately as I can. Imagine realistic photography only far more perverse. Instead of capturing the real, I want to capture the unreal perfectly. The light, the darkness... the vividity of all imagination.

There is some kind of conjunction working with my fantasies and producting digital works. There is nothing more ethereal than imagination. Yet in giving these images form, giving them shape, they yet still remain as elusive as ever. It is fitting that this synergy exists. It is there in front of you, the glow emanating from your monitor, yet that is all it is. No paint has been spread over taut canvas, no marble has been chiselled. The medium in this case is light, untouchable by human hands, but yet human minds can percieve it...
